My oldest daughter, AppleBlossom is finishing up a few second-grade skills, but mostly working on the end of her third-grade curricula and in the process of some fourth-grade material. At six-years-old, working on a combination of Kindergarten and First Grade skill, she is the prime candidate for this program. The Princess also really likes the phonics, the kid, the mouse oh wait, shes going to keep listing things! She loves a lot of the website. While the Princess listens to the sing-a-long while doing just about anything else during her school or free part of the day. My AppleBlossom loves working on her multiplication and division math facts and building the foundation of her skills. The Rascal savors coloring different images and he also loves the sing-a-long. For us, I have really let their imaginations run and allowed them to be self-directed and they have no trouble finding something to explore. Here from this dashboard my students can decide what they want to work on. After we authorize our computer and allow Flash to load, we get a screen much like this green screenshot image above. On our computer and in the device apps, we use our membership login to open up the wonders of the full website and program. There are other membership options for small educational groups, classes, and schools as well. This will give you access both to the website and mobile apps. The cost is only $35 US / year for a household. There are learning to read apps available for both Android, Apple, and Kindle Fire that are free, too.Ī full membership to Starfall, however, gives you access to everything available on the website. My kids did this for several years usually when I wanted to test out the longevity of their interest in the program. Anything your child doesnt have access to is simply grayed out. Most of the games are available as well plus lots of the music and such. If you decide not to get a membership, your child can access the main bulk of the website- all the learn to read materials for kindergarten and grade 1 especially.
